ponderings

Yesterday on my walk into to work I noticed that some of the trees have started to lose there luster, as it were. They are beginning the change that will become Fall. One of the things that I really enjoy about living were I do is that I get to walk to work and watch this rather slow transformation. When I lived a little further north I wouldn’t notice things quite so much because I either drove or took the bus. The change in some ways reminds me of the cyclical nature of everything and helps me feel a small part of that. One of the lessons (informal) that my grandmother taught me was that as you get older things will speed-up. I used to think she was crazy because to me everything was going by so incredibly slow. Now I really know what she means. Time goes by so much faster now than even a few years ago. Granted I’m only 42, which really to everyone except most folks on the front side of 30, is really not all that old anymore. Anyway, that was my pondering yesterday. Work was ok even without much sleep from the nights activities. I’m really glad its friday. The weather outside today is wonderfully overcast, gloomy and a cool 55. Its not expected to get much above the lower 70’s which is fine by me. I hope the whole weekend stays this way.
